Like many students, high schoolers in Mississippi are celebrating their graduations from home instead of with the usual pomp and circumstance. To congratulate the class of 2020, Gov. Tate Reeves diligently read out every graduating senior's name in a virtual commencement on Facebook Live. Reeves appeared to realize the joke, taking a second to pause, but powered through without cracking up. To his credit, he did later acknowledge the slip in response to a viral tweet about the prank.

"Harry's submitter has a bright future as a Simpson's writer!" Reeves tweeted, hinting that "Ben Dover" might make an appearance during Tuesday's read-through of recent graduates.

You can watch Tuesday's virtual commencement here. Hopefully the governor's office was able to proofread submissions this time.
