【2000 Archives】
You would think that the architects of the Minnesota Vikings' brand-new000 Archives billion-dollar stadium would have considered every possibility while designing it.
That assumption was challenged on Sunday Night Football when injured Vikings' star Adrian Peterson hobbled down what appeared to be the most direct route to the locker room ...
Through a restaurant.

That restaurant is the Delta Sky360 Club at U.S. Bank Stadium, according to the Star Tribune's Michael Rand, where fans can hang out during the games. It's located directly next to the Vikings' locker room and behind their bench.
This is, apparently, the faster of the two routes to the locker room.
"There are two ways to get to the locker room and medical area," Rand writes. "Sam Bradford, for instance, went a different route — through a tunnel in the southeast corner of the stadium — when he left the field and came back in the middle of the game following what looked to be some trouble with his left hand."
Peterson's knee left him with limited mobility, so the Vikings' medical staff wanted the quickest path to the locker room.
Yup, through a restaurant, filled with the prying eyes of Vikings fans.
U.S. Bank Stadium's website touts the club's premium access. Though the Vikings probably didn't anticipate how that access would play out when their star player got hurt.
Peterson's injury initially wasn't believed to be too serious. Reports said after the game his had knee calmed down after the game, enough to the point where he could walk. On Monday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer announced that Peterson has a torn meniscus, though he hasn't been ruled out for next week's game against the Carolina Panthers.
