【Dear Utol (2025): Maniac Photographer Episode 26】
On Sept. 27,Dear Utol (2025): Maniac Photographer Episode 26 22 years ago, Google was born. Naturally, the company is celebrating with one of its signature Google Doodles.
And yes, even the Google logo is being responsible by celebrating its birthday as one should during a pandemic: Having a friendly gathering through video chat, complete with cake, presents, and confetti. The cute little party is clearly being held on Google Hangouts, of course — or is that Google Meet? I don't know, it's tough to keep up anymore.
In case you're not familiar with Google Doodles, it's when the tech giant changes its search engine's traditional logo to celebrate special days and people. Whether that's a famous artist or a holiday, unique doodles are created as a commemoration.

Typically when you click on the Doodle, it brings you to a history of the subject or person. That way, you can take the time to learn more by diving deep into all the different links. You didn't hear this from me, but it's a fun way to procrastinate.
However, with this particular Doodle, you're just brought to a bunch of current information about Google, like top news stories and the company's blog posts. But hey, it's Google's birthday and clearly, that's what it wanted on this day.
Given that we've all probably heard the history of how Google had its start like, a million times, it's probably also for the best. If you do want to learn more, though, the company made sure to write a short little blurb about its origins in this blog post.
Speaking of Google's history, it's also worth noting that Doodle has come a long way since the first one originated in 1998. To use as an "away message" that signified they were off to party at the Burning Man festival, Google's founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, drew a stick figure in front of the second "o" in the logo.
Thankfully, there are no more stick figures to be found. Instead, the company now has a dedicated team of illustrators and engineers on board to create some more in-depth and aesthetically pleasing Doodles.
And, in case you're bored, you can search through the entire archive of over 4,000 doodles. I know, you're very welcome.
