The 33rd annual induction ceremony won't happen until April 14, 2018, but you can start cheering for the new entrants now. Those five musical forces making up the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2018 are joined by legendary gospel singer/songwriter Sister Rosetta Tharpe, who receives an Early Influence award.

Geils Band, LL Cool J, MC5, The Meters, Rufus feat. Chaka Khan, Link Wray, and The Zombies, as well as the winning six.
Recording artists must have a commercial release that is at least 25 years old in order to be eligible for a nomination. The 2018 threshold for earliest official recording was 1992, which made Rage Against the Machine (self-titled, 1992) and Radiohead (Pablo Honey, 1993) the "youngest" artists in this year's nomination lineup.
Winners are chosen after votes are cast by two separate pools: An international voting committee comprising more than 900 artists, historians, and other industry figures, and a public vote, the winners of which are tallied into a "fans' ballot."
Bon Jovi, hero of '80s glam metal and perhaps the most widely known winner in the Class of 2018, shared a message of appreciation on Twitter once the news was official.
