Apple is switching things up for the release of the iPhone 7.

Right before Apple's launch event kicked off in San Francisco to announce the much anticipated new iPhone, along with potentially other updated Apple products like a redesigned Apple Watch or new MacBook, the recently verified Apple Twitter account began tweeting out live secret updates announcing new products.

Apple has since deleted the tweets, but an Apple developer tweeted, "THIS IS WHY WE DIDN'T HAVE A TWITTER ACCOUNT" following the mishap.

Following the event, Apple reposted one of the previously deleted tweets from its account to Twitter again in the form of a Promoted tweet.
