【Detective Archives】
Richard Sherman,Detective Archives the notoriously outspoken Seattle Seahawks cornerback, is back at it again.
A week after he spoke for almost three minutes about police brutality at a press conference — and then proceeded to walk out — Sherman shifted his attention to NFL player safety.
In a video for The Players' Tribune, Sherman ripped the NFL, calling it a "bottom line business."

Sherman expanded on the shaky relationship between the NFL and its players, something "a lot of players talk about behind closed doors," he said in the post accompanying the video.

"We really don't have a reason to trust the NFL, and I don't think they mind either way," Sherman said. "At the end of the day, they're going to do what they have to do to make their money and to make as much money as they can for the owners, and our union's going to protect the interests of the players and the rights of the players and help them make as much money as possible. That's the way it's always going to be."
He cited Cam Newton as evidence of the NFL's poor handling of player safety. The Panthers' quarterback and reigning MVP took multiple knocks to the head in Week 1 but wasn't officiated fairly or given adequate medical attention, according to some.
The NFL has made a big push for player safety in the past couple years, including a $100 million concussion initiative announced earlier this month.
But, for Sherman, "the NFL could really care less."
