The golf legend was found asleep at the wheel of his vehicle in the wee hours of May 29 in Jupiter, Florida, where he owns a home.

Later that afternoon, he released a statement blaming the episode on an "unexpected reaction to prescribed medications." Woods said he "didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly."

In April, Woods had back surgery for the fourth time since 2014. He hasn't won a major golf tournament since 2008, when he took home the U.S. Open.

"I'm not at liberty to say where he is, but he is receiving in-patient treatment," Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, told ESPN.com. "Tiger has been dealing with so much pain physically. And that leads to insomnia and sleep issues. This has been going on for a long time."
