The Australian organisation Books On The Railhave established a campaign asking people to leave books on trains, trams and buses in an effort to get people sharing their most loved books.

The group have already gone out and dropped some of their favourite books on Melbourne's public transport systems and are encouraging the public to do the same with their favourite fiction or fact-based book.

Best of all, there's no twist! The organisation just want people to enjoy a new book because, as they say, "a good read cheers us all up!"

Any book you find on your seat with theBooks on the Railsticker embellishing it's cover is fair game and yours to pour over to your heart's content.

Once a book is found, it's new owner is encouraged to take to social media and post it with the hashtag #BooksOnTheRailso the public can see the reach of their shared novels.
