Pro-tip: If you see a baby being sold in a window for over $80,Film noir Archives000, it may not be real.
A recent and unusual Park Avenue window display featuring an absurdly lifelike baby sculpture has captured the attention of New Yorkers walking by. Scores of people, convinced that the baby is real and concerned for its welfare, have become so anxious that they've gone as far as alerting the store's manager.
See, New Yorkers canbe nice.

Titled "Baby in a Carriage, 1983,” the piece is valued somewhere between $80,000 and $120,000, according to Aviva Lehmann, Director of American Art at Heritage auctions.

As Lehmann told Reuters: "If you could watch our footage of this baby in the window, it would crack you up because truly all day, people, women, children, mothers, grandfathers, cops will stop and look at it and wonder truly for a second, or more than a second, is that really a baby?”
The hyper-realism isn't meant to be a gag, but a work of art.
Who wouldn't be concerned about this wildly creepy baby? Forget the fact that he appears to be abandoned by a parent in a store window. He's wearing a 1980's light blue sweatsuit, which we all know (if you were born before 1990), is a ridiculously sweaty pair of garments.
Someone get this doll into cotton, now!
