Although you can shop the sale on PlayStation's website, as well as several other retailers, true to form Amazon and Walmart are competing to offer the absolute best price.

In both cases, that means the retailers have dropped their prices 99 cents below everyone else. That means you can grab the PlayStation 5 Slim digital edition for $399 even, down from $449.99 at Amazon and Walmart, while folks who are into having a disc drive can grab that PlayStation 5 Slim at Amazon and Walmart for $449, down from $499.99.

Compared to the original PlayStation 5, value-wise you may find it worth it to opt for the disc drive model, considering Sony upped the list price on the digital model by $50 for the slim edition. Still, disc drive or not, you're getting much of the same top-notch performance from the original console in a slightly smaller package, according to our sister site PCMag's review. (And we were big fans of the original console). You'll also be getting 1TB of built-in storage space with the PS5 Slim, up from the 825GB some PS5 models have.
