【Violet (2025)】
Look,Violet (2025) we've said before that you'll never see a wallaby in Australian cities -- they're wild animals, after all. Yes, police recently pursued one down the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but we all thought that would be a one-off.
We thought wrong.

The marsupial was located 50 metres out from shore, and was pulled out of the water with a rope by the Manly Fast Ferry crew. Onlookers managed to film the rescue on video.

Renee Gartner, who filmed the incident, said the wallaby had been in the water for an hour before the ferry workers leapt into action.
"There were people watching, staff on [the] wharf were watching and then later assisted — a staff member threw a towel on it once they rescued it," Jackie Carroll from Sydney Ferries told ABC News.
"The wallaby was exhausted when they got it on board, so one of the staff was holding it and calming it down."
A Sydney Wildlife caretaker is currently looking after the wallaby, and the animal is recuperating quite well after a night of rest, food, and water.
"We do plan on releasing her within the next few days," Sydney Wildlife's Jodie Lewis told Mashable. "There's nothing too much wrong with her apart from the stress of the situation she got herself into last night."
