An Olympian is Watch The Pussycat Ranch (1978)being hailed for coming to the rescue of two hapless teenagers in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan.
Krishna Poonia, who represented India in the Beijing and London Olympics, sighted two young girls being harassed by a bunch of men on motorbikes in the district town of Churu, and took them to the task.

"When I saw those two girls being harassed, I thought that they could well have been my daughters. That made me go after the men," she later told the publication.
India's problems with women's security is not new.
Most recently, on New Year's eve, hordes of women were molested in the IT city of Bangalore. And astonishingly, no official complaints were filed about it.
That is what makes Poonia's act more laudable -- the fact that she ensured that the guilty were punished.
However, she was disappointed because the police had to be called twice before any action was taken. She reportedly said, "How will the police ensure the safety of women if they take so long to act."
Indians on social media were all praise for the Olympian.
