Beyond its rather sterile looking facade,Switzerland adult Samsung's blocky San Jose headquarters was designed to feel airy within.
Long connected hallways allow people to move through the large 1.1-million square foot complex, with the idea of raising the chances of running into fellow coworkers along the way.

It's been a year since Samsung officially moved in to the premises. It had an estimated 700 people on campus then, but has said it plans to eventually place 2,000 staff there.
In new drone footage provided by architecture firm NBBJ which designed the building, we can see how the company has tried to work in plenty of greenery and open spaces within, with garden floors sandwiched between regular office floors.
NBBJ said the idea to intersperse office and garden floors puts employees nearer to an open courtyard where they can take a breather from cubicles.

Apart from the gardens and "relaxation zones", the campus has a putting green, a gym and various cafés scattered within.
NBBJ has had plenty of experience building large campuses for other tech giants. It's responsible for the headquarters for the likes of Tencent, Google and Amazon.
