Ramón Rey of Isla Bonita tells Fresh Plaza that their avocado "has a mild flavor and a juicier and lighter pulp" than avocados traditionally found in the supermarket.

But where do they come from? Rey tells Fresh Plazathat Isla Bonita's "light" avocados are actually just a selection of different fruit varieties grown "in very specific climates of certain tropical areas, close to Ecuador, in Central America and in South America." Should you actually want a lower fat alternative to the avocado you know and love, know that Isla Bonita's Aguacato Light will launch in Spanish supermarkets only.
