So, how did the bots suddenly get locked in their loop? Well, apparently it all started on Thursday, when "Cheap Bots, Done Quick!" -- the platform used to create both @tinycarebot and @infinite_scream -- was suspended.

The suspension was lifted a short while later after various people complained to Twitter.

At some point during the furore, Reed used @infinte_scream's account to tag @tinycarebot in a tweet -- thereby kickstarting their endless loop.
