【sasha reprogrammed to eroticize debt】
It was bound to be sasha reprogrammed to eroticize debta tense Golden Globes night in Hollywood after months charged with allegations of sexual misconduct and gender inequality – and perhaps for the better, Sunday's awards ceremony steered more toward tame. This was a night about toppling the patriarchy, and the presenters and nominees either stuck to that or sat back and let others do the talking.

1. Sterling K. Brown's speech
Brown has given a few stirring awards show acceptance speeches by now, and he delivered a tight, stirring response to yet another This Is Uswin.
“You wrote a role for a black man," Brown said to show runner Dan Fogelman. “Like, that could only be played by a black man. And so, what I appreciate so much about this thing is that I am being seen for who I am. And being appreciated for who I am. And it makes it that much more difficult to dismiss me. Or dismiss anybody who looks like me.”

2. James Franco and Tommy Wiseau
It had nothing to do with Hollywood harassment or the critical Time's Up movement, but seeing these two on stage was bizarrely entertaining – much like The Room.

Before taking home a Best Actress win for I, Tonya, Janney presented an award with her costar Stan. She even affixed a tiny parrot to her shoulder as a nod to her character's pet parrot who irritates Harding's mother LaVona during her on-camera interviews (as recreated by Janney).
4. Timotheé Chalamet realizing he was sitting next to Tonya Harding

5. Natalie Portman serves piping hot tea
Portman and director Ron Howard took the stage – still basking in the afterglow of Oprah's speech – to present the film award for Best Director, to which Portman deadpanned: "Here are the all-male nominees."
